These are just some of the more notable things I have machined for personal/club projects that it occurred to me to record, but I have also made many simple parts such as shafts/tubes cut to length, spacers, and similar simple parts.

These are servo shaft adapters which I turned down and machined from solid 1″ mild steel rod, which adapted the bolt circle output of the face of the servo into a hex or D-shaft. The first step was obviously cutting the profile on the lathe, then I put it in the collet block to cut the hex and bolt circle, then parted it off.

This is the Carby V3 rocket fin can, which is definitely the most complex thing I have manually machined. Firstly,I squared off the sides so it could be put in the fixture, then I clamped it to the 5C collet plate and put it in the indexer.

The procedure was to mill the sides of the outsides of the slots, then remove excess material in between, drill the bolt holes, and lastly cut the fin slots.
